CONFERENCES - Useful list of documents

A list of documents that it may be useful for you to have either at hand, or at the forefront of your mind, during any initial consultation.

LIST

The following are a list of documents that it may be useful for you to have either at hand, or at the forefront of your mind, during any initial consultations that you have with me so that we can make the most of them. Don’t worry if there are items on the list that you do not have. Not all will be relevant. The list is simply intended to give you an indication of the sorts of things that may help us make the most of our preliminary discussions together.

  • Handwritten list of what you consider to be the issues that you are currently facing.
  • Copy of any mediation agreement
  • Note of any mediation outcome
  • Latest correspondence relevant to the issues to be discussed.

If matters are already before the courts

  • Copy of any applications
  • Latest court orders
  • Latest directions order (an order giving dates of when things have to be done by and when the matter is next before the Court).
  • Bullet point chronology giving a brief overview of key dates leading to how matters have got where they currently are.
